Superficial varicose veins in the lower extremities are mostly caused by superficial venous valve insufficiency. Due to valve insufficiency, some veins cannot return to the deep veins of the lower extremities, resulting in superficial venous tortuosity and even edema, heaviness and bruised dermatitis in patients. Patients are advised to live normally and can wear varicose veins elastic stockings i.e. secondary compression elastic stockings. The elastic stockings are needed for activity and weight bearing. During daytime activities, the lower limb pressure is in the calf due to gravity, so it will cause venous reflux dysfunction and aggravate the degree of varicose veins. It is recommended that patients should wear elastic stockings during daytime when they are weight bearing, especially when they are running, hiking or moving. If the varicose veins are serious, it is recommended that in addition to conservative treatment, the patient should also go to a specialized hospital for treatment, and can choose minimally invasive treatment and other surgical methods.
