Leukorrhea will look different in different menstrual cycles, and normal leukorrhea and pathologic leukorrhea also have different manifestations. Leukorrhea is composed of vaginal mucous membrane exudate, cervical and uterine gland secretion, etc. It will be subject to fluctuation of estrogen and progesterone levels in the body and show different patterns. Normally, the leukorrhea is white or creamy white in consistency and is not accompanied by odor. However, during ovulation, it will show a clear, stretchable, egg-white leukorrhea. At the end of ovulation, the leukorrhea is sticky and small in amount. However, when a woman suffers from gynecological diseases, the color, texture and amount of leukorrhea will be abnormal. For example, patients with mycosis fungoides have a high amount of leukorrhea, which is tofu-dregs-like or cheese-like; patients with bacterial vaginosis have a high amount of yellowish leukorrhea, accompanied by a fishy odor and so on. Therefore, the appearance of leukorrhea is not fixed. If abnormal leukorrhea occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time.
