How to prevent urinary tract infections after sex

  Drinking a glass of juice after sex can restore a woman’s strength while also acting as a preventive measure against urinary tract infections. According to the U.S. “Family Health,” the University of California Health Institute study showed that sex can greatly increase a woman’s chances of developing vaginitis and cystitis. Having intercourse more than three times a week increases a woman’s chances of developing a urinary tract infection by 50 percent.  Fortunately, a slight change in a woman’s diet can make urinary tract infections much less likely. If a woman can drink a glass of fresh juice or juice concentrate without sweeteners immediately after sex, her chances of getting a urinary tract infection are 34% lower than those of women who rarely drink juice. Among them, apple, orange juice and other sour juices are particularly good.  The researchers explained that the squeeze during sexual intercourse tends to injure the female urethra and can bring bacteria from around the urethra into the bladder. If sex is too frequent, it will also make the bladder resistance, the chances of infection bacteria significantly increased. Juice drinks that are more acidic can reduce the number of bacteria in the urethra, thus making urinary tract infections much less likely to occur. Previous studies have also shown that drinking yogurt after sex can also help women avoid urinary tract infections.
