Hemorrhagic gonorrhea is a TCM diagnostic term equivalent to hemorrhagic urinary tract infections in Western medicine, such as hemorrhagic cystitis and hemorrhagic urethritis. It is typically characterized by signs of urinary tract irritation, along with the presence of visual hematuria. Patients may experience significant urinary frequency, urinary urgency, and painful urination accompanied by red urine color. In Chinese medicine, urinary tract infections are collectively called gonorrhea, and are classified into different types of illnesses according to different causes. For example, acute infection is called acute gonorrhea, stone combined infection is called stone gonorrhea, bleeding infection is called blood gonorrhea, and infection after exertion or weakness is called labor gonorrhea, so blood gonorrhea refers to urinary system infection with bleeding. For treatment, we need to take urine for relevant culture and do drug sensitivity test. After finding out the sensitive bacteria and choosing antibiotics in a targeted manner, active and stable treatment can achieve a cure.
