Vitiligo

The etiology of vitiligo is still unclear, and the currently recognized pathogenesis doctrines include autoimmunity, oxidative stress, and melanocyte self-destruction. 1. autoimmune: its main supportive basis are vitiligo patients or relatives often accompanied by thyroid disease and other autoimmune diseases; active stage of the edge of the white spot can exist lymphocytes dominated by a single nucleus cell aggregation and so on. 2. oxidative stress: vitiligo lesions area redox imbalance exists, through the lesion area peroxidase and other antioxidant enzymes level of reduction, affecting the melanocyte metabolism, proliferation, differentiation, caused by mitochondrial function abnormalities and apoptosis. 3. Melanocyte self-destruction theory: some scholars believe that the occurrence of this disease is due to melanocyte hyperfunction, prompting its consumption and early decline. 4. Other theories: Some scholars believe that the onset of the disease is related to nervousness, overwork and anxiety. Some patients have family aggregation phenomenon, which may be related to heredity. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for diagnosis and treatment.
