What’s wrong with inflamed tonsils and lots of white spots?

Inflammation of tonsils with many white spots can be seen in acute purulent tonsillitis, including acute follicular tonsillitis and sexual crypt tonsillitis. When the body’s resistance is lowered, pathogens multiply, toxins destroy the crypt epithelium, bacteria invade its substance and inflammation occurs. This disease can be seen in type B hemolytic streptococcus, non-hemolytic streptococcus, staphylococcus and streptococcus pneumoniae infection.
1. Acute follicular tonsillitis: inflammation invades the lymphoid follicles in the tonsil parenchyma, causing congestion, swelling and even suppuration. The yellowish-white spots can be seen under the mucosa between the crypts.
2. Acute crypt tonsillitis: the tonsils are congested and swollen. The crypts are filled with exudate composed of detached epithelium, fibrin, pus cells, bacteria, etc., and are discharged from the mouth of the crypts. Sometimes they are connected to each other and resemble a pseudomembrane, which can be easily wiped away.
Tonsillar inflammation with white spots on the surface, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis and etiology, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
