The correct method of deflating an ostomy bag cannot be summarized simply as follows:
1. Loosen the pouch clip or pouch sticker at the end of the ostomy bag and then hold the end of the ostomy bag with one hand and push the other hand from the top end of the ostomy bag down to the end to expel the gas inside the bag, and finally close the opening of the end of the ostomy bag with the pouch clip or pouch sticker.
2. Use an ostomy bag with a carbon filter, which absorbs gas and odor.
3. Remove the filtering sheet from the paper strip, then press the filtering sheet against the upper outer corner of the ostomy bag, stick it firmly, press it tightly, insert your finger into the ostomy bag from the opening of the ostomy bag up to the filtering sheet to separate the inner and outer layers of the film and drag the filtering sheet, and then finally stick it into the ostomy bag with the attached small pin through the hole in the center of the filtering sheet.
