Whether to take medication for pulmonary ground glass nodules is closely related to the size and nature of the nodules. Generally, ground glass nodules less than 5mm are mostly benign chronic inflammatory changes, so if there are no clinical symptoms, medication is generally not needed, and only dynamic follow-up of chest high-resolution CT once a year is required. If the ground glass nodule is larger than 8mm with short burr, lobar, pleural pulling sign, pleural depression sign and other changes, the nodule should be alerted to the occurrence of early lung cancer and further diagnosed by enhanced CT of the chest. Therefore, if the nodule is benign and has no symptoms, drug treatment is generally not needed.
