Can you wash your pubic area with soda?

Soda can be used to wash the vulva, but only if there are indications for doing so. Soda water itself is an alkaline solution and the purpose of washing the vulva is to change the local pH, so it is often used for Candida infections. Candida likes to grow in an acidic environment, so washing the vulva with alkaline soda can change the local pH of the vulva and inhibit the growth of Candida, thus achieving relief from clinical symptoms. However, washing the vulva with soda is not a complete treatment for Candida vaginitis, and the treatment should be given with appropriate medication. For example, intravaginal plugs, soft capsules or clotrimazole plugs can be inserted for 7 consecutive days.
