Why menopausal IVF can still be successful

Menopausal women who are not ovulating are usually not successful with IVF.
Women of childbearing age experience a gradual decrease in ovarian function as they age. By the time they reach menopause, due to low ovarian function, the ovaries also no longer produce eggs, and without eggs, they cannot get pregnant. One of the steps in IVF is egg retrieval, and menopausal women do not ovulate, so there is no way to do IVF successfully.
In addition to the lack of ovulation, the hormone levels in the body cannot support the growth of the uterine lining after the ovarian function has declined, and the uterine lining is thin, so the fertilized egg cannot be attached to the uterine lining, and there is no way for it to develop and grow into a normal child.
IVF is not recommended for menopausal women, as it has a low success rate and is very harmful to the body.
