Renal tubular damage is usually associated with medications, obstruction, etc. and is also seen in systemic diseases. Treatment options include removing the cause of the disease, immunosuppressive therapy, symptomatic supportive therapy and so on.
1. Remove the cause of treatment: the causes of renal tubular damage include drugs, infections, urinary tract obstruction, etc. Symptoms are non-specific, often with fever, rash, low back pain, some patients have little or no urine, and some of them can be progressed to acute renal failure. Treatment should remove the cause of the disease, such as discontinuing the use of suspicious drugs, actively treating infections, and actively relieving obstruction.
2. Immunosuppressive therapy: some special types of tubular injury, such as IgG4-related tubulointerstitial nephritis, may need to be treated with glucocorticosteroids, such as prednisone acetate, or immunosuppressive agents, such as cyclosporine.
3. Symptomatic treatment: correct electrolyte disorders, anemia, and control blood pressure. If acute renal failure occurs, renal replacement therapy should be performed.
Patients with renal tubular damage are advised to go to regular hospitals for consultation, to clarify the cause of the disease, and to follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment. Drugs should be used in accordance with the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medication.
