How long to rest after abortion

Under normal circumstances, it is necessary to rest for two weeks to one month after abortion, and the exact time needs to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Abortion, or induced abortion, can be divided into two types: early abortion and late abortion. If it is an early abortion within 50 days of pregnancy, it is generally recommended to rest for about two weeks after the abortion. However, for late abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy, it is generally recommended to rest for at least one month. The reason is that as the fetus gradually increases in size, the damaging effect on the woman’s body after the abortion will gradually increase, so a longer rest period is needed. In addition, it should be noted that whether it is an early or late abortion, the patient should pay attention to a nutritious diet after the abortion, eat more protein and fiber-rich foods, avoid straining, avoid strenuous exercise, and prohibit intercourse and bathing for one month, pay attention to the regularity of work and rest, and refrain from heavy physical labor.
