Spleen and kidney yang deficiency clinically characterized by prolonged diarrhea and dysentery, edema, cold pain in the waist and abdomen and other symptoms related to coldness can be regulated by using Radix Rehmanniae Pills. Radix Rehmanniae Pill is used for cold pain in the epigastrium (cold pain felt in the stomach and abdomen) caused by deficiency of cold in the spleen and stomach (weak and cold spleen and stomach), vomiting and diarrhea, and lack of warmth in the hands and feet. Deficiency of qi and blood is mainly manifested clinically as poor spirit, fatigue, chest tightness and shortness of breath, and lack of strength in speech. It can be regulated with Shiquan Dajian Pill. Shiquan Dazhuang Pill is used for the symptoms of pallor caused by deficiency of qi and blood, shortness of breath and palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), dizziness and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement), tiredness and fatigue, lack of warmth of the limbs, and heavy menstrual flow.
