  The laryngeal wheeze is caused by the underdevelopment of the cartilage in the throat, which can easily lead to edema of the throat and subsequent difficulty in breathing.  Cause 1: Congenital: Many babies are born with abnormal development of the laryngeal trachea during their maternal development, such as an oversized epiglottis or two cleft epiglottis, which can lead to laryngeal wheezing.  Cause 2: Acquired: for example, trauma, birth injury or laryngeal edema caused by parents’ lack of attention during birth. These can be harmful to the child.
