Elastic cartilage is mainly located in the joint surfaces of all joints in the body, generally one concave and one convex, the convex one is the joint head, the concave one is the joint socket. The elastic cartilage is usually 2-7mm, which not only makes the rough and uneven joint surface smooth, but also reduces the friction of the joint surface and cushions the shock and impact during the movement.
