What should I do if I have breast cancer combined with thyroid cancer?

When breast cancer and thyroid cancer are combined, if they are in early stage, surgery can be used for treatment; if they are in advanced stage, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and radiotherapy can be used for comprehensive treatment.

1. Surgery: Doctors will choose appropriate treatment methods according to patients’ specific conditions. For early breast cancer patients, mastectomy with breast preservation and other surgical methods can be adopted; for early thyroid cancer patients, traditional open surgery and other methods can be used for treatment.

2. Chemotherapy: chemotherapy is to kill cancer cells through the use of chemical drugs, so as to achieve the effect of improving patients’ quality of life. Breast cancer patients can use drugs such as doxorubicin and methotrexate under the guidance of doctors, and thyroid cancer patients can use drugs such as zithromax, anthracycline and platinum drugs under the guidance of doctors for treatment.

3. Other treatments: endocrine therapy such as tamoxifen, targeted therapy such as trastuzumab, and radiotherapy for some patients to further improve survival.

If patients suffer from breast cancer and combined with thyroid cancer, they need to be treated under the guidance of physicians, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
