Ophthalmic ointment with chlortetracycline hydrochloride can be used on the nose. Chlortetracycline ophthalmic ointment may have a therapeutic and ameliorative effect on the anterior nasal vestibule area, as well as the anterior nasal mucous membrane area, which may have a broken and inflamed condition, and may also improve the dryness of the nasal mucous membrane and recurrent bleeding. The ophthalmic ointment is not a one-size-fits-all ointment and should be used selectively according to the patient’s specific condition. For the more common acute and chronic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic sinusitis and other conditions, generally are not suitable for the use of gentamicin hydrochloride ophthalmic ointment, and also gentamicin hydrochloride ophthalmic ointment should not be used blindly for a long time, so as not to cause local flora imbalance, as well as cause patients to appear drug-resistant condition.
