The bone marrow is most closely related to hematopoiesis and is the main organ of hematopoiesis in adulthood.
Bone marrow consists of reticular connective tissue, various types of cells, located in the cavity of the bone marrow, and is most closely related to hematopoiesis. Bone marrow is the main organ for hematopoiesis in adulthood, capable of blood production, immune and defense functions, and trauma repair. Clinically, the bone marrow is divided into red bone marrow and yellow bone marrow, of which the red bone marrow is the hematopoietic tissue of the human body, consisting of blood sinusoids and hematopoietic tissues with active hematopoietic function.
The yellow bone marrow is composed of adipose tissue and can produce red blood cells, granulocytes, platelets, and some lymphocytes. In adults with high anemia and blood loss, yellow bone marrow can be transformed into red bone marrow to improve the body’s ischemia. In addition to bone marrow, the spleen and liver are also closely related to blood production.
It is recommended that the population strengthen daily care to minimize the impact on blood production.
