Pain in the pubic symphysis area of the small abdomen in mid- to late-pregnancy is mostly related to the enlargement of the uterus and fetal compression. With the increase of pregnancy week, the pain may gradually increase, and in serious cases, the pubic symphysis is often separated. Mild pain and discomfort do not need special treatment, do not sit and stand for a long time, rest in the lateral position and move appropriately, most of them can be relieved. If the pain is serious and the pressure pain in the pubic bone area is severe, the doctor needs to do an examination during the maternity checkup to understand whether there are signs of separation of the pubic symphysis, if so, in addition to bed rest, external fixation or pain medication can be given under the guidance of the doctor to relieve the pain. After delivery, the degree of separation of the pubic symphysis should be assessed in the postpartum rehabilitation department, and pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy or pelvic assisted therapy should be given.
