PICC tube is a peripheral venous puncture tube implanted into the heart through a precious vein in the arm, mainly used for chemotherapy in oncology patients and supplemental intravenous nutrition in patients who cannot eat for a long time, and the infusion through PICC tube can effectively reduce the irritation of drugs to the blood vessels. Clinical care for PICC tube has three cans and five prohibitions, not three prohibitions and five prohibitions, three cans include normal light physical activities of the patient’s arm, the patient can engage in light physical labor, and the patient can take a normal shower and bath under the condition that the PICC tube is protected intact. The five prohibitions include not carrying heavy objects in the arm where the PICC tube is implanted, and not getting rid of the PICC tube by oneself to avoid displacement of the catheter. Patients should not move vigorously to avoid dislodging the PICC tube, the cuffs of patients’ clothes should not be too tight, and patients should not take a full bath to avoid infection of the catheter.
