Swollen feet from ant bites need to be given anti-allergic treatment if it is simple edema triggered by insect bites; if it is infected edema caused by secondary infection, anti-infective treatment is needed.
1. Simple edema: ants bite the foot and inject venom through the wound, resulting in local capillary expansion, increased permeability, induced tissue edema. First of all, disinfect the wound site to avoid infection; external glucocorticoid cream, such as halometasone cream, etc.; oral antihistamines, such as loratadine tablets, oral glucocorticoid, such as prednisone acetate tablets, if necessary.
2. Infectious edema: bacteria enter the body through the ant bite site leading to soft tissue infection, local redness, swelling, heat and pain in the skin, and fever and other systemic symptoms can occur when the infection is serious. First of all, disinfect the wound site, use fusidic acid cream or mupirocin ointment externally; oral or intravenous use of antibiotics such as cefadroxil.
Ant bite foot swelling should be timely to the hospital, do not blindly self-treatment, should be under the guidance of the physician medication.
