The presence of sexually aroused ejaculation within 3 days prior to the prostate fluid test may cause a non-inflammatory increase in leukocytes, which may affect the results. If there has been sexual intercourse within 3 days prior to the prostate fluid test, or if there has been an abnormal increase in sexual arousal in the last 1-2 days, there may be a corresponding increase in non-inflammatory leukocytes in the prostate fluid, which may interfere with the results. However, if there is no sexual intercourse for a long time, for example, more than 7 days without sexual intercourse, there may be aggregation and concentration of leukocytes in the prostate fluid during the prostate fluid examination, which will also affect the judgment of the results. Therefore, clinicians will not only ask patients whether they have masturbated and ejaculated within 3 days before removing the prostate fluid, or whether they have had abnormal sexual excitement or sexual behavior recently, but will also determine whether the patient has not discharged semen for more than 7 days or has had sexual intercourse, so as to avoid certain interference in the test results.
