How to clean and take Angelica

Angelica sinensis is taken internally by decoction in soup; or in pills or powder; or in wine. It is not recommended to wash it before use if it is not visibly dusty.
Washing is generally not recommended for angelica purchased in pharmacies, as Chinese medicines sold in pharmacies are usually processed, concocted, dehydrated and dried after removing impurities. Before decoction, there is no need to repeatedly wash with water, not to mention washing after soaking in water for a long time. Because water washing can make the loss of water-soluble active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine and reduce the efficacy.
Angelica sinensis is the dried root of Angelica sinensis, family Umbelliferae. It is sweet, pungent and warm in nature. It belongs to the liver, heart and spleen meridians. It is used to tonify and invigorate blood circulation, regulate menstruation and relieve pain, and moisten the intestines and pass stools. It should not be used if the patient is suffering from dampness or loose stools, and the adverse effects are not known.
If you need to use the drug, please use under the guidance of a doctor, do not recommend self-administration, so as not to delay the condition or cause adverse effects.
