How to get a stone out of your throat on your own

Throat stones are generally referred to as tonsil stones. When brushing your teeth or coughing, you will cough up yellow or white granular things with a distinct odor from time to time. Tonsil stones can be removed on your own by trying to use cotton swabs, tweezers, etc. However, it is difficult to deal with them on your own, so it is best to seek medical attention and medical help. At home, you can find a mirror, open your mouth, gently touch your tonsils with a cotton swab, and wipe away the stones on your tonsils; if you can’t wipe them away, don’t rub them hard, but switch to tweezers, and gently hold the stones to remove them. Often bleeding may result as the tonsil stone becomes trapped in the tissue and usually stops on its own. If there are more tonsil stones, or if they are difficult to remove, it is recommended to seek the help of an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor. For recurrent tonsil stones, surgery to remove the tonsils may be considered.
