Indications for special oral care

The indications for special oral care are as follows: 1. Children who are young and have undergone surgery such as cleft lip and cleft palate must be helped to clean their mouths daily and replace the iodoform gauze in the wound area to prevent scar formation and affect aesthetics. Patients with cleft lip also have to wear lip arch to prevent the wound from splitting. 2.Patients who have paralysis and long-term bed-ridden have limb disorder and cannot brush teeth and rinse mouth normally, so they need to be helped to maintain oral hygiene. 3.When facial nerve paralysis is caused by trauma, patients need to be helped to clean and rinse the mouth after meal daily to keep the denture clean and avoid extensive caries in the mouth.
