Scars left by chalazion usually can’t be removed completely, but there are ways to reduce the symptoms, such as medication, laser treatment, surgery and so on.
1. Medication: In the early stage of scarring, you can apply scar-removing medication, such as silicone gel, etc. If the effect is not obvious, you can inject local glucocorticoid, such as dexamethasone. If the effect is not obvious, local injection of glucocorticoid can be used, such as dexamethasone injection, triamcinolone acetonide injection and so on.
2. Laser treatment: If the effect of drug treatment is not obvious, or the scar formation time is longer, you can choose laser treatment, such as carbon dioxide fractional laser, erbium fractional laser.
3. Surgery: If the scars are large, they can be removed by surgery. For patients with scarred body, after surgery, they need to prevent recurrence by radiotherapy and other methods.
For the same disease, patients with different physical conditions and different stages of the disease, the treatment methods are different and should be standardized under the guidance of doctors.
