Atypical hyperplasia is the result of pathologic findings, so atypical hyperplasia is usually not visible to the naked eye under gastroscopy.
Gastroscopy can be seen mucosal atrophy, congestion and edema, erosion, ulceration, etc. Usually, for gastric mucosal atrophy, erosion or ulceration, biopsy will be taken for pathological examination, and the pathological results can be reported as inflammatory changes, heterogeneous hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia and so on.
Pathology suggests atypical hyperplasia, mostly benign lesions, but need to be vigilant about the possibility of malignant changes, such as results suggesting that atypical hyperplasia, need to regularly review the gastroscope, according to the situation under the gastroscope for appropriate treatment.
