Symptoms of osteoporosis in the elderly

Osteoporosis in the elderly mainly has symptoms such as pain, deformity and activity limitation.
1. Pain: there may be back pain or body ache, the pain is reduced when resting, and the pain is aggravated when moving or bearing weight.
2. Deformity: Due to the slow collapse of osteoporotic vertebrae or compression fracture in the elderly, the patient will have spinal curvature, thoracic deformity, shortening and hunchback.
3. Restricted activities: The pain in the lumbar back is aggravated when the patient bends over and bears weight, which leads to the restriction of the patient’s activities such as bending over and so on. In severe cases, it is difficult to turn over, sit up and walk.
