Colon cancer and rectal cancer are both colorectal cancers, and their 5-year survival rates are not much different, but they are specifically related to TNM staging and treatment effects. TNM staging refers to: T is the degree of primary tumor infiltration, from superficial to deep, which is in situ cancer, submucosa, muscularis propria, subplasma or paracolorectal tissues, and peritoneal penetration; N is regional lymph node metastasis, and the degree of metastasis is judged according to the number of metastatic lymph nodes; and M is distant metastasis. According to international data, the 5-year survival rate of patients with stage I colorectal cancer is higher than 90%, stage II-III is about 60%, stage IV can be radically resected about 30%, and if palliative treatment is available, it is about 8%. At present, colorectal cancer has mature diagnostic and therapeutic means, if diagnosed, it should be treated actively, which can greatly improve the quality of life.
