In the clinic, methotrexate tablets are available for the treatment of uveitis, but they are not used as the preferred treatment for uveitis. Methotrexate tablets are immunosuppressants with relatively high side effects, often requiring regular monitoring of liver and kidney function for impairment. Therefore, it is not the drug of choice. In clinical practice, when patients with uveitis need systemic medication, glucocorticoid drugs such as prednisolone tablets are often preferred. If uveitis is recurrent, or accompanied by systemic immune diseases, or through the use of glucocorticoid drugs, it is still difficult to control the inflammation of the case, will consider the use of combined immunosuppressive drugs. It is recommended that patients with uveitis actively seek medical attention and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
