What’s wrong with babies with loose stools?

Silky stools in infants may be caused by indigestion, allergy, lactose intolerance and other reasons.
1. Indigestion: usually due to the poor development of the infant’s gastrointestinal function, if there is a cold, add improper complementary food, eat too much, etc. may lead to the infant’s gastrointestinal dysfunction and indigestion, which will lead to the bowel movement in the form of silk.
2. Allergy: Generally, after consuming allergic foods, infants with allergies may have sticky stools, accompanied by rashes and blood in the stool and other allergic symptoms.
3. Lactose intolerance: As infants are unable to absorb lactose in food, it may lead to filamentous stools accompanied by diarrhea, bloating, vomiting and so on.
There are other causes of loose stools in infants. Parents are advised to take their infants to the doctor to find out the cause of the problem and give them targeted treatment or therapy.
