Are probiotics good or bad for diarrhea?

Diarrhea after taking probiotic medications is not normal.
Probiotics are flora that exist in the intestinal tract under normal conditions and usually have the effect of helping digestion and absorption and inhibiting harmful flora. Common probiotic drugs include Bifidobacterium triplex, Lactobacillus tablets, Bacillus licheniformis and so on. Taking them may lead to side effects such as allergies and diarrhea.
An excessive amount of probiotics in the intestinal tract may also become conditionally pathogenic with symptoms of diarrhea. If diarrhea occurs after taking probiotics, it may be caused by improper medication, bacterial or viral infections, medications, allergies, and other causes.
If diarrhea occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor to determine the cause of the illness and treat it accordingly. It is not recommended to take probiotics on your own.
