Postoperative care after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy

Postoperative care after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is very important. Usually the nursing person should be involved throughout the whole process of patient recovery after surgery. It is generally routine to stay in bed for 1-2 days after surgery, for the purpose of fear of wound bleeding. After bed rest is beneficial to the healing of the kidney wound. Absolute bed rest is not required, which means that the patient can turn around in bed. So generally come to encourage patients to move their limbs in bed, they can gently turn over or move with the help of others. Routine prophylactic antibiotics are used mainly to prevent wound infection and facilitate wound healing. After the patient gets out of bed, if the recovery is good, the catheter can be removed first, and the drainage tube of retroperitoneum should be observed for the amount of drainage. Generally speaking, if there is no heavy bleeding, the drainage tube drains less than 10ml in 24 hours, there is no leakage or bleeding, fever, etc., or the drainage tube volume does not increase after getting out of bed, the drainage tube can be appropriately removed at this time. After the drainage tube is removed, the patient can be allowed to get out of bed appropriately, but avoid strenuous exercise and give an easily digestible diet. For 2 days after surgery, the patient must be told not to do strenuous exercises such as sports, heavy lifting or bending, or activities that are outside the range of physical ability.
