Most of the infants and young children with pneumonia have an acute onset, and a few days before the onset of more existing upper respiratory tract infections, mainly fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc., and most of them are treated with general treatment, drug treatment and symptomatic treatment.
1. General treatment: keep the indoor air circulation, with a temperature of 18 ~ 20 ℃, humidity 60% appropriate. Drink plenty of water and give nutritious diet. Change position frequently to reduce lung stasis and promote inflammation absorption.
2. Drug treatment: When coughing and sputum are obvious, drugs such as aminoglutethimide oral solution and aminoglutethimide can be used; if bacterial infection exists, drugs such as amoxicillin and ceftriaxone can be used; when Mycoplasma pneumoniae is infected, azithromycin and erythromycin can be used; and in case of viral infection, drugs such as ribavirin and interferon-alpha can be used.
3. Symptomatic treatment: if the child has shortness of breath, dyspnea, irritability and other manifestations, it can be given oxygen; when the body temperature reaches or exceeds 38.5 ℃, it can be given ibuprofen and other antipyretic agents; at the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the timely cleaning of nasal secretions, to keep the airway open.
All of the above drugs should be used under doctor’s guidance, avoid self-medication. When infants develop early symptoms of pneumonia, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for evaluation by a specialist, complete the relevant examinations and give targeted treatment or therapy.
