Blockage of blood vessels in the legs may be atherosclerotic occlusive disease of the lower limbs or deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs. Generally, it can be treated by taking drugs, surgery and injecting drugs.
1. Lower extremity atherosclerotic occlusive disease: patients need to be treated with anti-platelet drugs such as aspirin and statin lipid-lowering drugs such as lovastatin. Patients with severe symptoms need to be treated by percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, bypass grafting, endothelial stripping and other surgical means.
2. Lower extremity deep vein thrombosis: after lower extremity thrombosis, patients need to be injected with ordinary heparin for anticoagulant therapy, and also need to use recombinant tissue-type fibrinogen activator, reteplase and other drugs for thrombolytic therapy. In case of ineffective drug treatment, the patient can be treated by surgical thrombolysis or direct thrombolysis via catheter.
It is recommended that patients seek medical treatment as early as possible, actively cooperate with doctors, and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for medication to prevent serious adverse reactions.
