Minocycline Hydrochloride, commonly known as Menomycin, is primarily used to treat infections caused by pathogens such as staphylococci to which it is susceptible. Minocycline hydrochloride is used for the treatment of urinary tract infections such as urethritis, superficial pyogenic infections such as acne, deep pyogenic diseases such as mastitis, bronchiectasis, bronchopneumonia, syphilis, paranasal sinusitis, and other diseases caused by pathogens that are sensitive to the product such as staphylococci, streptococci, and also pneumococci, neisseria gonorrhoeae, dysentery bacillus, and syphilitic spirochetes, and also chlamydia. Common adverse reactions to minocycline hydrochloride use include gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, anorexia and gastrointestinal disorders, and dizziness. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to this product and other tetracyclines. PrecautionsThe dose for patients with severe renal insufficiency should be lower than the usual dose, and liver and renal function should be checked regularly during administration.
