Is minimally invasive surgery for gastric polyps okay?

Gastric polyps can be considered for minimally invasive treatment such as endoscopic polyp electrocautery or laparoscopic partial gastrectomy.
Gastric polyps are elevated lesions that rise above the surrounding mucosa and protrude into the lumen of the stomach. Many are found during endoscopy and the cause is currently unknown. Symptoms of gastric polyps include abdominal pain, nausea and discomfort, and anorexia. The main treatment options for gastric polyps include surgical and medical treatment, with the option of minimally invasive surgery or endoscopic treatment.
If the gastric polyp causes pain, bleeding, obstruction and other symptoms, it needs to be resected. Depending on the condition, you can choose endoscopic electrocautery or laparoscopic partial wedge resection, gastric colectomy and so on. Pathologic examination of the removed polyp tissue is routinely required after surgery to screen for cancer.
If gastric polyps are found during physical examination, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible for further consultation and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
