Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets Instructions for Use

Rosuvastatin is currently a commonly used HMG-coA reductase inhibitor in clinical practice, and the adverse risks have been tested and proven to be less than most similar products. Rosuvastatin calcium tablets are indicated primarily for primary cholesterolemia in which dyslipidemia cannot be adequately controlled with dietary control and other non-pharmacologic therapy, or mixed dyslipidemia, i.e., coexisting cholesterol abnormalities, triglyceride abnormalities, and LDL abnormalities, and are available in 10 mg/capsule, 7 capsules/box, and are to be taken orally at bedtime. This drug is contraindicated in patients with moderate renal insufficiency and in patients with active liver disease. Adverse reactions to Rosuvastatin calcium are mainly mild, transient allergy, headache, dizziness, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, myalgia, and weakness; serious adverse reactions include liver damage and rhabdomyolysis. This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to this product, myopathy, and concomitant use of cyclosporine.
