Ganoderma lucidum belongs to the flat nature in the medicinal properties of traditional Chinese medicine. Ganoderma lucidum is sweet in taste and flat in nature, and belongs to the heart, lung, liver and kidney meridians. It has the effects of tonifying qi and tranquilizing the mind (benefiting qi in order to stabilize the mind), relieving cough and calming asthma (stopping coughing and calming wheezing). It is used in the treatment of insomnia, coughing and phlegm, deficiency labor syndrome (a general term for a variety of chronic weakness symptoms caused by various causes of decline in the function of the internal organs, deficiency of qi, blood, yin and yang, which cannot be restored for a long period of time), and so on. Solid evidence (external evil invasion of the organism) and the beginning of exopathogens (the first outbreak of exopathic diseases) are contraindicated. Ganoderma lucidum is a strong inhibitor of platelet aggregation, so it should be used with caution for those suffering from bleeding disorders and those with bleeding tendency. It is also contraindicated in allergic individuals. Chinese medicines need to be used under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, and should not be used blindly to avoid the occurrence of related adverse reactions.
