Leukorrhea is mainly related to the formation of estrogen, so it appears after the ovaries develop and secrete estrogen, located after puberty.
Under normal physiological circumstances, after puberty, 14 days before the next menstrual period in the ovulatory period, when estrogen secretion reaches its peak, the uterine glands under the action of estrogen can be secreted transparent, no fishy odor sticky mucus, that is, leucorrhoea, so that the vagina is in a state of wetness, which reduces mechanical friction between the front and back walls of the vagina.
However, in the case of bacterial, mycobacterial, trichomonas infections, leukorrhea can change in character, such as bacterial vaginitis, can be seen as thin grayish-white leukorrhea with fishy odor; mycobacterial vaginitis, can be seen as tofu dregs-like leukorrhea, accompanied by intense itching inside and outside of the vagina, burning; trichomoniasis, can be seen as yellowish-green, thin purulent, frothy leukorrhea, and accompanied by vulvar itching.
If the patient has the above abnormal symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor to clarify the cause of the disease, and actively targeted treatment.
