Symptoms of sigmoiditis usually include abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation. 1. Abdominal pain: usually in mild and moderate patients, the pain occurs in the left lower abdomen or even spreads to the whole abdomen. Sometimes it is relieved by the urge to have a bowel movement or after a bowel movement. 2. Diarrhea: Usually due to the stimulation of inflammation, patients may have diarrhea of different degrees. Usually, mild patients have soft or mushy stools 3-4 times a day, sometimes accompanied by mucus and pus and blood.
