Dietary avoidance is currently the safest treatment strategy for infant milk protein allergy. Choice of formula: 1. Amino acid formula (AAF): 100% free amino acids, non-antigenic. It is the first-line diagnostic and therapeutic formula for children with severe cow’s milk protein allergy, multiple food allergies and poor response to treatment with deeply hydrolyzed formula. 2, deeply hydrolyzed formula (eHF): 80% short peptide + 20 amino acids, almost no antigenicity. Suitable for more than 90% of children with milk protein allergy. 3.Infant soy formula: low cross-sensitization with cow’s milk protein allergy, can meet the nutritional needs of infants. 2014 European Association of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition recommends that it can be used for the treatment of cow’s milk protein allergy in infants. 4, moderate (partially) hydrolyzed formula: 20% short peptide, antigen reduction, can induce immune tolerance. Used for prevention of milk protein allergy, not for treatment. 5, lactose-free formula (diarrhea formula): for primary lactase deficiency or secondary lactose intolerance, not for milk protein allergy.
