There are many causes of vision loss in one eye, so the method of recovery is different for different diseases. If the loss of vision is due to refractive error in the eye, such as myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism, the vision can be improved by wearing frame glasses or corneal contact lenses. Of course, adults can also choose refractive surgery for treatment; if cataracts exist in the eyes, surgery can be performed to improve vision; for fundus diseases, symptomatic treatment is needed for different causes, such as optic neuritis, systemic and local application of glucocorticoids, and retinal detachment, which requires surgery. Therefore, only when the specific causes of vision loss are clearly examined can an accurate treatment plan be formulated so that vision can be restored to normal as soon as possible.
