Tips for curing asthma and cough lack some scientific basis and are not true.
Asthma is a heterogeneous disease characterized by chronic airway inflammation and airway hyperresponsiveness. Cough variant asthma is a special type of asthma in which cough is the only or main clinical manifestation.
Its treatment mainly consists of identifying and reducing risk factor exposure and medication. Pharmacologic therapy mainly includes inhaled glucocorticosteroids (e.g. budesonide, beclomethasone, etc.) combined with β2 agonists (e.g. salmeterol, formoterol), leukotriene modulators (e.g. montelukast, zalustat), and so on.
The so-called “tricks” are probably not therapeutic and may delay the disease. It is recommended that people with asthma and cough should go to a regular hospital in time for standardized treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
