What is the slippery vein?

The slippery pulse is a kind of pulse in the pulse diagnosis of Chinese medicine, which means that the person taking the pulse feels that the pulse is fluent and smooth, just like a bead rolling in a plate without obstacles. The most common slippery pulse is that of a pregnant person. A normal person’s slippery pulse is smooth and gentle, a sign of the harmonization of Ying and Wei and fullness of Qi and blood, and is common in young adults and women. The slippery pulse manifests in different parts of the three parts and nine signs, suggesting different diseases. If it appears in the Cun part, it indicates Heart Fire and Lung Heat, and in the Guan part, it indicates Liver Fire, Phlegm and Food Accumulation. In the ulnar region, it indicates damp-heat in the large intestine, constipation, and diarrhea. If it appears in the Lower Jiao, it indicates urinary system infection such as frequent urination, urinary urgency and urinary fever.
