Is hemangioma of the S7 segment of the liver serious?

Hemangioma in the S7 segment of the liver is a relatively common benign hemangioma in clinical practice. Smaller hemangiomas are not very serious, and those less than 5 cm can be dynamically observed without surgery or treatment with drugs. Larger hemangiomas in the S7 segment of the liver with symptoms of compression can be considered for clinical management, including partial resection by surgery, sclerotherapy of hemangiomas under local intervention, and also interventional embolization treatment under angiographic conditions. These methods are all ideal for the treatment of hemangiomas in the S7 segment of the liver and have less impact on liver function postoperatively. Patients presenting with hemangioma of the S7 segment of the liver should have a detailed CT examination as well as angiography to select the appropriate treatment plan according to the size and location of the hemangioma.
