Conjunctivitis is not new to moms and dads, as there are many times when a child grows up with conjunctivitis and the main cause of conjunctivitis is an infection that causes a series of symptoms in the eye. Of course, there is another type of conjunctivitis that is more common, and that is non-infectious conjunctivitis, such as allergic conjunctivitis, which is treated differently from infection-induced conjunctivitis. There are two main categories of pediatric conjunctivitis: 1) infectious; and 2) non-infectious. They have similar and characteristic main symptoms. The common ones are mainly symptoms such as watery eyes, rubbing of the eyes, discharge from the eyes or pain in the eyes. For the current common conjunctivitis, the first thing that needs to be clarified is the specific cause. The infectious ones can be divided into: 1) viral conjunctivitis caused by viral infections (mainly treated with antiviral drops such as acyclovir drops); 2) bacterial conjunctivitis caused by bacterial infections (mainly treated with anti-infective drops such as tobramycin drops); non-infectious ones are mainly caused by allergic substances Allergic conjunctivitis (mainly treated with anti-allergy drops such as sodium cromoglycate drops). In addition to eye drops, the eye needs to be cleaned by rinsing and cleaning the discharge. Because the child’s conjunctivitis will slowly become more and more uncomfortable as time progresses, and the child is not able to explain the symptoms clearly, it is recommended that specific treatment be given as soon as possible, and it is basically impossible for the child to heal on his own.
