There are no proprietary Chinese medicines specifically designed to lower triglycerides. Clinical Chinese patent medicines that can assist in lowering blood lipids include Lipid-lowering Spirit Tablets, Dantian Lipid-lowering Pills and Lipotropic Capsules.
1. Lipid-lowering Ling Tablets: composed of Prepared Fleeceflower, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Hawthorn, Cassia Seed, Fructus Lycii, it has the efficacy of tonifying the liver and benefiting the kidneys, nourishing the blood and improving the eyesight, and lowering the lipids, and is mainly used for hyperlipidemia, with the symptoms of premature whitening of the beard and hair, and dizziness. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear.
2. Dantian Lipid-Lowering Pill: It is composed of Panax ginseng, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Panax Ginseng, Rhizoma Zedoariae, Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori, Epimedium Brevicornum, Rhizoma Cinnamomi, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Angelicae Sinensis. It has the effects of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidneys, and can lower serum lipids and improve microcirculation, and can be used in hyperlipidemia.
Note that it is forbidden for those who have external fever, Yin deficiency and fire (deficiency of Yin and essence in the body and hyperactive fire), menstruation and those who have bleeding tendency, and pregnant women should be cautious in using it.
3. Blood Lipids Kang Capsules: composed of red yeast, it has the effect of resolving turbidity and lowering fat (clearing the body of impurities and reducing excess fat), activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, invigorating the spleen and eliminating foodstuffs, and it can be used for hyperlipidemia caused by phlegm and blood stasis. Note that it is forbidden for those who are allergic to this product, active hepatitis or unexplained elevation of serum aminotransferase, and is used with caution in pregnant and lactating women.
