What causes hiccups in gastritis

Gastritis hiccups can be caused by gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection and incomplete pyloric obstruction. 1. Gastritis disease itself: gastritis causes slow peristalsis of the stomach, which makes it easy to accumulate too much food and gas in the stomach, and hiccups will occur when the gas passes through the throat. 2. Helicobacter pylori infection: after the patient is infected with Helicobacter pylori, the smooth muscle of gastrointestinal tract will be inhibited, resulting in incomplete closure of the cardia of the stomach, and hiccups will occur when the gas goes upward (the gas rises instead of falls), which will cause hiccups to occur in patients with gastritis. 3. Incomplete pyloric obstruction: due to the obstruction of the outlet of the stomach, the eaten food can not be emptied according to the normal speed, the food stays in the stomach for too long and produces gas from fermentation, the tension inside the stomach increases, forcing the cardia, the entrance of the stomach, to open, so that the gas and a small amount of food flows backward to the esophagus or the mouth, which results in the hiccups phenomenon of gastritis. If patients with gastritis hiccup phenomenon, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease, according to the doctor’s instructions targeted treatment.
