Low back pain is the most common clinical condition, and about 80% of people experience low back pain in their lifetime. For many people, when they encounter low back pain, they often stick a piece of dog plaster on themselves or look for a massage therapist for massage. Low back pain refers to pain in the lower back, lumbosacral and sacroiliac areas, and its causes are very complex with diverse clinical manifestations. However, different low back pains have different attack times, and different attack times can suggest different causes, so careful attention by the people can be of great help to doctors in differential diagnosis. The most common cause of low back pain is lumbar disc herniation. As most people stand upright during the daytime, the weight of the body can flatten the disc, and if it protrudes to the back side, it will squeeze the nerve roots immediately adjacent to it, causing lumbago and soreness, numbness and pain in the back and outside of the lower limbs. The lumbar region is located in the lower part of the torso and naturally bears the most weight, plus the lumbar region is the most active part of the torso, and the longer the day’s work, the more the lumbar intervertebral discs will protrude, so the more the lumbar pain will increase. After a night’s rest, the intervertebral disc is slightly reset, the pressure on the compressed nerve is reduced, and the lumbar pain is relieved, so patients with herniated lumbar discs often have less lumbar pain in the morning, or even no pain at all, but work starts after noon, and the more they work, the more pain they have in the evening. The pain caused by inflammation of tissues, such as ankylosing spondylitis, tuberculosis or osteomyelitis, fibrositis, fasciitis, vasculitis, etc., is most painful when waking up in the morning, but after activity, the painful symptoms are reduced or disappear. Because of the lack of activity during the night, the waste materials produced by metabolism accumulate in the local tissues, stimulating the painful nerves and causing back pain, and after activity, blood circulation increases, taking away these waste materials, thus reducing pain. In menopausal women, low back pain may also be caused by plant nerve dysfunction, which is also characterized by being heavy in the morning after waking up and relieved after activity. If you suddenly wake up from a dream with pain in the middle of the night or late at night, then such back pain may indicate cancer. Cancer may be primary or metastatic. Benign bone tumors usually do not cause pain. Bone cancer pain is the most intense of all cancer pains. It is characterized by resting pain, the quieter it is, the more painful it is. The more quiet it is, the more painful it is. When activity is opened, the pain is reduced. It is presumed that this is because the tumor factor dissipates and no longer compresses the nerves due to activity. In addition, bone cancer has another characteristic, that is, the pain will intensify if you tap lightly on the painful area, which is the opposite of the symptoms of lumbar muscle strain and lumbar disc herniation that feel more comfortable after massage and tapping. The back pain caused by other organ diseases also needs to be taken seriously by the people. Urinary system infections, kidney lesions, female gynecological inflammation, pelvic tumors, etc. can cause low back pain, while duodenal ulcers can sometimes cause radioactive pain in the lower back. These low back pains do not increase with activity and do not disappear with rest, and there is no time difference. Sometimes the back pain will be relieved when the patient lies in bed and turns around, but definitely, the bell must be tied, and these back pains will be cured only when the disease of the organ itself is solved.
